Science Faculties Safety Committee

In addition to the “University Health and Safety Policy Committee”, Science Faculties also has its own workplace committee. The Science Faculties committee promotes a pro-active approach to safety in the workplace for both staff and students. It consults and cooperates with the University OHS Policy Committee, the Science Faculties Executive Dean, employees and students (through their academic supervisors for undergraduate students, and / or through the student representative for post graduate students) by initiating, developing and implementing measures to ensure the health, safety and welfare of all.

The committee meets every three months for formal business, but is in constant touch with safety and health matters through its individual representative members.
